In April 2022, we visited our friend and coffee producer, Emmanuel Rusatira, in his home country to get a better look at the processes and people behind his exceptional coffees. We were received graciously by the workers at each washing station, farm, and nursery that we visited. On our journey with Emmanuel (Emma for short) we toured Fugi, Ngoma, and Muzo, three remote washing stations that we continue to purchase coffee from year after year. We were greeted by joyous singing as we arrived at each location, making us feel welcome and inspired. More recently, we have bolstered our relationships in neighboring regions in Burundi and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. As we continue to grow our relationships through Rwanda and beyond, we aim to be a force of positive change for the coffee producing communities.
